Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

No, a referral is not required to see a physiotherapist.

How long will treatment take?

Initial consultations are up to 40 minutes, allowing extra time for thorough assessment and diagnosis, subsequent consultations are 20 – 30 minutes. However should you require extra time or have a complicated case double appointment slots may be utilised.

Can I use my health fund card?

All essential physiotherapy clinics have HICAPS machines for on the spot claiming from health funds. We are also preferred providers for BUPA and medibank private, ensuring you get the most from your health funds.

What do I need to bring?

It is advisable to wear loose fitting comfortable clothing as the physiotherapist will need access to injured areas. If you have had x-rays or scans of the injured area in the last two years it is advisable to also bring these along if possible.
